and Rosslare Golf Clubs.
If you enjoy old cities, Kilkenny is a beautiful medieval city. You can tour through the castle rooms and visit the old castle stables, which are now full of craft workshops. Saint Canice's Cathedral is definitely worth a visit whilst in Kilkenny, and the shops for all your woollens, are second to none!

back riding through Mount Juliet Estate, or on the beaches in Wexford
can be booked in advance for you.Polo lessons can also be arranged.
We can also offer the service of an excellent guide who runs ''Ancient
Irish Tours'' and is available to either accompany or drive our guests
on his tours or their chosen tours,to adjoining counties,to view historic
sites of interest and archeological remains. He would also take guests
to pubs with traditional 
music,and
poetry readings,or art exhibitions. Anything is possible!!
If you are interested in crafts, Co Kilkenny is the place for you. We have the famous craft trail, with Nicholas Mosse, and Stoneware Jackson Pottery workshops, Cesneau leathers, wonderful bags, wallets and belts, all in Bennettsbridge only 10 miles from Berryhill. Also at Bennettsbridge, Mary O'Gormans shop of brightly coloured pottery, Dyed in the Wool Knitwear, Toners Leathers and a home-made candles shop.
Then in Thomastown, there is Jerpoint glass, Redgewood wax jackets, an antique shop, two gift shops and plenty of pubs all 5 miles from Berryhill.
In
Inistioge we have one pottery shop, two restaurants, four Pubs some of
which have live music on certain nights of the week.
We are spoilt with a choice of restaurants!.......... Inistioge has 'The Motte' award winning restaurant, with an atmosphere unsurpassed and the Maltings. Then in Thomastown there is Oysters, Silks and Kendals at Mount Juliet. Calabash at Bennettsbridge, Rinucini (good Italian), Lacken House, Fleva, Lautrecs and The Italian Connection, amongst others in Kilkenny, 15 miles from Inistioge. The Waterside Restaurant in Graignamanagh is a converted Mill, 6 miles from Inistioge. The Galley cruising restaurant, New Ross is a wonderful way to spend a sunny evening, cruising up the River Nore or Barrow, enjoying dinner, the stunning scenery and watching out for the many varieties of birds. New Ross is about 10 miles from Berryhill.
Waterford
is a 30 minute drive, and you can tour the Waterford Glass factory there.
From just outside Waterford you can take a small ferry across to Co Wexford.
Ballyhack is an old fishing village with another great fish restaurant
called 'Neptune'. There is plenty to see in Co Wexford, beaches, Historic
monuments, Gardens, The Viking Settlement, J F Kennedy arboretum, Dunbrody
Maze, Johnstown Castle, explore the narrow streets of Wexford town and
the the Hook Head Drive.
The Rock of Cashel is an easy drive from Berryhill, in fact there's plenty to keep everyone busy for a week around here, without getting too exhausted!!

Sheep and lambs roam the fields, the cocks herald a new dawn and George and Belindas' six dogs assure you of an enthusiastic welcome! The fan tailed pigeons coo and flutter round the yard behind the house and in all, it is a wonderfully scenic and peaceful place to rest, visit, holiday or just get away.
